By the time a deed is recorded to formalize the transfer and return of land a long series of events and conversations have happened. In mid-December 2024, these events led to the return of a 103-acre parcel that provides new water access and food security opportunities to the Mi’kmaq Nation.
On March 6, please join us as we gather a few of the key humans together to share the process, celebrate, and discuss this return to the Mi’kmaq Nation.
We'll be joined by Mi'kmaq Nation's representatives to the Wabanaki Commission on Land and Stewardship, a conservation partner at Maine Coast Heritage Trust, and a key funding partner.
Thursday, March 6: 230 to 4pm on Zoom.
