Confluence: First Light Learning Journey (Cohort 3)

Thank you for your interest in Confluence, the upcoming First Light Learning Journey.

This page will be updated with additional information as the course develops. If you have any questions that aren't addressed here, or want a further conversation about this course, reach out to members of the Core Planning Team: Kara Wooldrik, Ethan Miller, Lokotah Sanborn, Ellie Oldach, and Peter Forbes. If you're looking for a starting point, please contact First Light staff  and we'll get you connected.

Learning Journey as River Trip: the participants are paddling with teachers that paddle alongside us. Rocks create rapids for us to navigate, challenging but necessary. Dams are structural barriers harming the rivers and ourselves, we'll work to remove these. We'll follow currents throughout the journey: Wabanaki perspectives, conservation legacy, organizational change, personal experience, affect and embodiment. Embankments are places to rest and reconnect at in-person gatherings.
